If you’ve ever heard the grocery shopping tip to stick to the perimeter of the store, this eGuide will tell you exactly why that’s a fabulous idea.

The perimeter of the supermarket is where the fresh foods are — that’s where you’ll find your produce, your bulk bins, and a vast majority of the unprocessed, whole foods you strive to eat. The fresher the foods, the less likely you’ll find unhealthy ingredients  lurking.

There are a few things we’ll dash down the center aisles of the grocery store for — condiments, beans, sauces, etc. When you do grab those pantry staples, take a good hard look at the labels they’re adorned with. If you see any of the following, keep looking. There are numerous healthier options in this day and age, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding a more robust version.
